How are my Beading Babes going?

I just thought I'd check in with Beading Babes to see how everyone is
progressing with the first project,
Camelot Cross.

I have slowed down a little with mine as I have been working on a few other projects.
I have stitched all 6 squares required so now I just need to assemble the piece.

How is everyone finding the pattern?
I only found one error which was fairly obvious but other than that this is such a quick and easy project. I reckon if you could put aside a whole day to stitch this piece you could easily get it done.

I also think that the squares would also make a nice pair of earrings so I think I might make a few extra squares and treat myself to a pair of sparklies!

The suggested date for the big reveal of our pieces is

Sunday 16 October

But please remember there is no pressure to share your piece on this date...
as the old saying goes...
"better late than never".

Happy beading!

Ok.. it still trips me out that here it's Monday and I'm commenting on your Tuesday post...
Anyway, Kate & I have our beads (finally!) and hope to start our project this Wednesday when we settle down at the bead table together :D Can't wait to see how our colors turn out!
Now I just have to find my needles.........
I probably should take a bit of time to re-organize the bead table too...

Well... I did start the project and I have two crosses done. I finished another piece that I was working on for a challenge, but then I started another project. I have three more inches to go on that project. I will have the bracelet done in time, maybe! LOL

I have one square done because I've been spending beading time working on another project. This goes so quickly, though, I can finish it by the 16th. I really like the pattern and along with earrings I was thinking of an necklace. We'll see!

Since I am down with a cold today I am going to start it. I finished a review piece and got another one so like everyone else I am spreading my beading time into several projects. Yours are gorgeous by the way!

I have been gone for a month on vacation so I don't know what this is all about. I just know I like your cuffs very much. Be sure to stop by for a chance to win a Laura McCabe book this is the last day

Nicole - I started my little beading group, Beading Babes, a few weeks ago. Basically it's a group to encourage other beaders to try projects that they wouldn't normally try - stepping out of their comfort zone whilst being supported and encouraged by other beaders. Here is a link to my original post on my blog http://releasesbyrufydoof.blogspot.com/2011/09/beading-babes.html

So far we have about 8 ladies on board which is just wonderful as already I have made some new friends which was also the aim of the group.

Lois - Ohh wow you have finished! I just need to piece mine together. I can't wait to see what colours you have chosen... gee you might have two to share with us in the end!

Therese - well done on finishing two crosses. I can't wait to see your finished piece

Maryanne - that's great that you have started. I too have been working on a few other bits and pieces.... I reckon a necklace could be nice too!

Kristen - I hope you feel better soon. Remember there is no pressure to meet the reveal date.

Hey Karyn, I didn't have the pattern, so I couldn't join in this month. Hopefully, I can do the next one.

Hi Karyn!! I have mine finished! :D I actually have made two now.. the second one I added two rows to make the squares slightly larger and I think it turned out quite nicely. I am going to send some pictures to my Facebook page since I only have the ones I took on my phone right now. My internet is off at home in the interest of saving some $$ for a little while until employment becomes regular once more!
I LOVE this pattern and already have some more color ideas planned :D
Can't wait for the next challenge
