Beading Babes - Project 2

Thanks everyone for commenting on the designs I chose as options for Project 2.

As previously discussed it was decided to choose two projects this time around.

From reading everyone's comments it seems the favoured choices are:

Sleek in Silver by Hatsumi Oshitani

(Beadwork - Oct/Nov 2011- page 40)

Earthly Hues by Carole Ohl
(Beadwork - August/September 2010 - page 38)

We will have approximately 5 weeks to complete the piece,
therefore the reveal date will be

Sunday 4 December.

Once again please don't stress if you don't get your piece finished by this date...this is purely a guideline.

If you get the urge to make both pieces please do so, but there is no pressure to create both.

As always I'd love to see your progress along the way so please feel free to post pictures on your blog or add links to your blog via my Facebook page.

Be sure to check out the photo album I have created on my Releases by Rufydoof FB page which is dedicated to Beading Babes where I have posted pictures of everyone's work.

Also please let me know if you would like any of the other projects to be included as options for future projects.

And lastly, don't forget to get your Beading Babes badge for your blog!

Let's get started!!!

Looks good :)

Something to keep in mind though, those of us who are not subscribed will need to wait until about midway through next month to get the current Beadwork from newsagents :( I think I have the other though, so I'll dig that out and get started :)

Beautiful choices..I'll just look from afar though! ( I am not a seed beader) but I enjoy looking at the results.

Yeah! I actually started on the earthly hues, just to see if my colors & materials would work. I've ordered my tilas, they should be here this week. If anyone needs some, Betsy @ Red Panda Beads was so great about helping me pick out all the colors for the project.

Abbey - I didn't even think of that as most of our Beading Babes are in the US...will keep that in mind in future.

Jenni - it's a pity you are not a seed beader!

I've ordered my Tila beads too. I already had the supplies for Earthly Hues as I had already planned on making that piece when the magazine first came out.

Sounds great, Karyn. I'm going to do Sleek in Silver and then see if I have time for another project.
Thanks for all of this.

Hi...I start with Sleek in Silver...and tomorrow is an event for creativ people in a town near my hometown, so I can buy some nice beads for the projects.

Karyn, how do you get the photos from our work? Per e-mail?

Wish you a nice day, Siggi

Maryanne - thanks for joining us for Project 2! I look forward to seeing your piece/s!!

Siggi - you can just post the pictures of your pieces on your blog and then I can copy them from there, post them on FB (if you are on FB) or you can email them to me. I check everyone's blogs so will see your pieces if you post them there... it's up to you!

Hi Karyn and The Beading Babes, I just got back from Wisconsin today so I'm catching up on the blogs. I already have everything for Sleek in Silver and waiting on the items for Earthly Hues. Going to get started soon.

Awesome Therese... I am waiting on my drops for Sleek in Silver... I bought the materials for Earthly Hues a while ago so I just need to drag everything out!
