Visions of Winter

As most of you may already  know I am an Artbeads Design Partner.

The theme for this month is

Winter

When people think of Winter, visions of snow and snowflakes most likely come to mind.

Having never seen snow I could not imagine a white Winter.

Winter here in Queensland, Australia, is full of sunny days, a splash of rain but definitely no snow!

It's hard to be thinking about Winter in the middle of Summer but let's give it a go!

So... how can I best portray a typical Queensland Winter?

I decided to look to nature for the answer.

During Winter we have some of the most glorious flowers gracing us with their presence, preparing us for the beauty of Spring that is just around the corner.

Autumn Fall in Spring Time...

The Artbeads Design Partner Blogging Program is kicking off again and this time the theme is 

~ Fall ~

It's actually Spring here in Australia 

but the theme couldn't have come at a better time as had actually been admiring these 

gorgeous copper leaves (below)!

I also found a gorgeous ceramic pendant (centre) and chose 

some ceramic beads to match (below).

Summertime blogging

As you know I am an Artbeads Design Partner and the next theme for their blogging program is "Summertime".

I have just ordered my beads but thought I'd give you a bit of sneak peak of what I will creating.

I will be using one of the glass fused cabs below which I made back in January of this year.

My order from Artbeads includes seed beads, lots of delicious czech glass beads, some stunning Swarovski components as well as a funky sterling silver clasp!

It's hard to get motivated to create something along the lines of Summer when we are into our second week of Winter here and it is starting to get rather chilly but looking at my seaside cabs is starting to get me in the mood...

...shall I order a Pina Colada now or later?
