Well done boys!

What a fantastic game. 

I won't bore you with too many details but basically Newcastle came out and scored two tries to lead 12-0 and looked pretty strong and this stage. 

From nowhere Brisbane scored 4 tries within 20 minutes to lead 22-12 at half time.

I have to admit that at that stage I had this awful feeling that the Broncos were going to come out strong in the second half but I couldn't have been any more wrong. My boys came out and scored 3 tries to win the game 

30-22

Ahhh there is nothing better than beating the Broncos at Suncorp Stadium other than 20 or so Newcastle fans chanting "NEWCASTLE NEWCASTLE" whilst leaving the stadium.

Well done boys ... you did me proud!

Anyone that knows me well enough knows that I am a huge NRL (National Rugby League) fan and on top of that an enormous Newcastle Knights supporter.

So tonight I am off to see the Knights tackle the Brisbane Broncos at their home stadium in Brisbane, Suncorp Stadium. Suncorp is a magnificent stadium - seats around 55,000 and such a spectacular venue and we have really great seats tonight -  members side and nearly on the half way line!

  

Amazingly Brisbane and Newcastle are equal on the ladder at the moment so it should turn out to be an interesting game. I just hope my boys come out fighting fit tonight as I can't handle a loss at Suncorp - surrounded by thousands of Broncos supporters.

I was desperately trying to find my Knights jersey last night and to my horror I didn't find it. I have no idea where it could be as it isn't something I wear throughout the year - only to the games. It's a really nice "retro'' jersery which means it is made of  nice soft cotton instead of that polyester crap they make them out of now and I actually paid a nice penny for it on good old Ebay!

So I will be facing the Broncos and the Autumn weather in my jeans and trusty old Knights tshirt.
