Beading Babes - Project 4 ~ March/April 2012

Welcome to Project 4
of
Beading Babes!

~*~

This month there is no need to vote on which pieces you would like to create.

We have 3 on offer!

I am so happy to announce that the lovely and ever so talented, Nancy Dale, has kindly offered her gorgeous pattern as one of our choices.

Nancy is an incredibly talented, self-taught bead artist with around 20 years experience.

She has won many beading competitions including a finalist in the very famous Bead Dreams and one of her necklaces will be showcased in the upcoming book,
Showcase 500 Beaded Jewelry:
Photographs of Beautiful Contemporary Beadwork (500 Series)
so we are indeed in fine company!

Thank you Nancy.

So without furtherado here are the choices for Project 4.

I've covered all bases this month...necklace, earrings and a bracelet with the Ruffled Chain Bracelet including instructions to make a matching pair of earrings!

Remember there is no pressure to create all three projects but if you feel you can then
by all means please do!

Most importantly don't forget to share your progress on your own blogs, via my blog as I post updates on my own progress/any issues that may arise whilst creating the pieces or on Facebook.

The reveal date will be

Sunday 29 April

so that gives us around 7 weeks.

As in the past I will wait until most of you have posted pictures of your pieces and then I will showcase them here together.

Also don't forget to get your Beading Babes badge for your blog (if you haven't already done so) by simply clicking on the Beading Babes image at the top of this post and saving it to your computer as an image.

It's so lovely visiting your blogs and seeing the badge displayed!

I can't wait to hear what you think of the projects chosen for this month!

Happy Beading!

I'm so excited, Karyn! This a fantastic selection of projects. I have Nancy's pattern already, so this gives me a deadline to get to it! And, the bracelet and earrings are fantastic. Thanks again for coordinating all this.

Mmm, I have yet to join in one of these challenges, though I love the idea and have always checked out the entries each time, but I have to say the pattern Nancy is offering is stunning. I can see how it could be used in so many different ways. I think I may have to put my name in to join in this time, so please send me details, when you're ready. It's me, bwheather from the beading forum. Thanks. ;-)

I also have Nancy's pattern, and have been trying to get to it, so this will be good incentive. I did both of the projects last month, but missed the reveal, so I'm going to work harder this time on my deadlines. :) Thanks so much dear for all your hard work. And a huge Thank You to Nancy for sharing the tute!

I'd like to give these a try and join the group but I don't blog - is that okay? If so, please send me the pattern. Also, I am new to beading- any suggestions on how to get back issues of bead and button mag for the other projects?

Ooops, sorry, forgot to leave my email address: hgoldsmith@gmail.com. Thanks again. ;-)

I have emailed Nancy's pattern to all those who have requested it. If you have not received your copy within a day please let me know and I will re-send.

Susan - as you don't have a blog I don't have a way to contact you so please send me your email address to me at kariony@yahoo.com.au

I am off to stock up on beads for all three projects - not sure I will get them all done but I'm aiming high this month!

Thanks again to everyone for your tremendous support. You are all AWESOME!!

Hey! I can do that! Actually, I've already done the paisley drops but I gifted them to Mum. They worked out so well that I think I want a pair of my own. Brilliant! I think I can make it all out of stash too, bonus! :-) So exciting, I'm finally going to get my butt into gear and participate :-)

Thanks so much for including the Paisley Drop earrings. I love seeing the different colourways and interpretations that people come up with :)
