I have two pieces I need to complete within the next 2-3 weeks - one being my Use the Muse piece which I am terrified to admit to myself is going to be a huge waste of time. I have had delays on even starting this piece as I have been waiting on some components to arrive from the USA and then a bead order I was expecting by Express Post on Friday didn't arrive...grrrrrrr.... obviously not enabling me to work on the piece over the weekend. I just feel that I am not meant to create this piece.
My other piece is a seed bead bracelet I am making as part of a swap on a beading forum. I managed to get the cab beaded (after beading and unpicking it and beading it around 5 times) and am now onto my 4th bracelet as I just haven't been happy with the results.
Ohhhhh I hate it when I feel like this.... it's smelly and stinky and makes me feel like crap...

Hi there! I know exactly what you mean. It is totally stinky! (good word)!
Sometimes I am so full of ideas that I am bursting, other times, I have to really work at it. The good thing is it always passes. Sometimes it takes sunshine or finding just the right bead.
By the way, I really like your freeform piece. It is very fun and perfect for summer! Makes me think of vacation.
Aw, I hate it when that happens. I do have a suggestion that works for me 90% of the time....
Sit down and intentionally make something ugly. It will usually either morph into something wonderful along the way or at the very least get the Ick out and keep your head in the beads. :)
Have you received the package I sent yet? I hope all of your goodies arrive soon. Hugs~!
Thanks ladies - it is nice to hear this happens to all of us.
I haven't received anything Juls but now I know something is on it's way I will be running to the post box every day!
It has been a week so I would think it will arrive any day now. :)
Hey kiddo, it happens to all of us. I tell my students when this happens to just leave the work table. Don't frett about it either. Especially when things are out of your hands, like materials not showing up. Do something completely mundane. Every time the work comes into your head go out side close your eyes, take a deep breath and allow the art to come back slowly. Don't worry if it take a few days.

Julz - maybe we should set each other a challenge to make something... are you up for it?
